Restaurant List

Each restaurant on this list is personally vetted— I reach out to the restaurant to get info on their packaging and to identify any menu items that use plastic.  Please reach out via the contact form if you have suggestions of businesses to add!

What’s compostable and recyclable in Portland?  Most plastic containers currently end up in the landfill, and “compostable” containers can’t be composted by Portland Metro— they require high-heat processing centers and will only contaminate your compost bin.  Only cardboard pizza boxes can go into the compost.  You can put rinsed aluminum foil and round plastic soup containers (but not lids) into your blue recycling bin.
